Our chess club is low-cost and fun, and exposes as many students as possible to the fundamentals of chess. 10-15 minutes of each hour are devoted to instruction, after which students play friendly or more formal and competitive ladder games while the instructor spot-teaches. The club holds an annual school chess tournament, supports a school chess team, and sponsors other special events.
